Katie Senn, Sales Training and Operations Manager

Katie Senn oversees and supports the operation of all things Orchestral at West Music. Katie received her Bachelor of Music Education with emphasis in Cello Performance from Coe College in 2005. After graduating, she went on to teach Middle School and High School Orchestra for 10 years in the Cedar Rapids and Muscatine areas. Katie joined the West Music team in the fall of 2015.
Katie plays cello, violin and bass in the band, Awful Purdies. She greatly enjoys performing, recording and collaborating with local and national artists.



About Kevin Halbrooks Head Luthier West Music Orchestra

Kevin Halbrooks, Head Luthier

Kevin Halbrooks graduated from Minnesota State Technical College in 2010 with degrees in violin repair and guitar repair/construction, with certification in advanced finishing. He apprenticed at the Amati Violin Shop in Houston, Texas before joining the West Music team in 2011.
Kevin has a strong interest in violin and viola construction and has completed several models. He is married to Emily Halbrooks, West Music’s Orchestra Educational Sales Consultant. Outside of their shared passion for music, the couple enjoys the outdoors and long walks with their two German Shorthair Pointers, Eevee and Impa.

Emily Halbrooks, Orchestra Educational Sales Consultant

As West Music’s Orchestra Educational Specialist, Emily supports string programs and educators in local schools through all of our stores. After graduating from the Orchestral division of The Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Arts with a focus on violin performance in 2009, she continued to the Minnesota State Technical College, completing a degree in violin repair and construction in 2010. Emily joined the West Music team in 2014, after apprenticing with the Noble Brother’s Cello Specialty Shop in Colorado.
Emily’s life-long passion for instrument care and school music carries into her personal life where she regularly performs at the Coralville Center for Performing Arts and frequents music festivals and workshops. The pursuit of perfecting her craft as a Luthier she frequently collaborates with her husband Kevin, the Head Luthier of the West Music Orchestra, on violin repair and construction projects.

Tianna Streeter, Orchestra Merchandise Manager

Tianna is fluent in all things instrumental music: band and orchestra. Though she began playing the violin at the age of 6 and went on to learn the viola and cello, she holds a Master’s Degree in Saxophone Performance and has a vibrant private studio at West Music Coralville. Tianna curates our merchandise selection for band and orchestra for all West Music’s locations.
